Student Accommodation In Bournemouth

Founded in 1992 the Bournemouth University is what people in the academic world like to call one of the “new universities.” Although it's just over twenty years old, the university has already built-up a reputation as being an industry leader in producing media graduates, some of who leave to work on   big hollywood movies.

Student Life In Bournemouth

For most universities, students look for the best nightlife, clubs and societies, but here it’s a little different. Bournemouth attracts millions of people each year to its golden sandy beaches, something students report they take full advantage of. As well as the beach, students tend to frequent the town’s illustrious gardens and world famous pier, both of which are great places for unwinding. The beach also means sporting opportunities are slightly different to that of other universities, with the likes of waterskiing, sailing and windsurfing all proving popular among students. If you ever find the time to tear yourself away from the beach, why not visit the Bournemouth Pavilion, a top quality theatre hosting the likes of The Lion King musical, Grease, and performers like Jon Bishop and Peter Andre. However, if a good nightlife is what you are after then Bournemouth has everything you need. With a host of student bars, pubs and clubs all offering up themed nights and special deals, students can always find a good time out on the town. But, for some, going out all the time is too expensive, or just unappealing, and for you lot Bournemouth has over 60 different societies and clubs to keep you entertained. This includes the free fall society, for all you daredevils out there, and a fully functional media center, complete with a university run TV and radio station. But, it doesn’t end there. For all you sports lovers that aren’t really interested in getting soaked all day, the uni has a fancy sports center fully equipped with all the courts, pitches and ball hitting apparatus you’ll ever need.
