Crewe is known as a picturesque railway town, located in Cheshire. It has one campus in the area from the Manchester Metropolitan University, with both Keele and Staffordshire University being very close by. With that many universities, finding student houses and flats in Crewe is pretty straight forward. Two of the most well known bars in Crewe are the Metz Bar and the Box, both are usually packed out on the weekend, and one of the main student hotspots. For more casual nights, Crewe has plenty of pubs scattered throughout the town, offering reasonably priced food and drink. For lovers of shopping Blakemere Village and the Market Shopping Centre are the places to check out, plenty of choice between the two to find everything you’d need. Check out the Crewe Heritage Centre for a deeper understanding of why Crewe is known as a railway town, a collection of the finest railway history in the U.K can be seen. For the artsy student, the Lyceum Theatre is a nice little venue that showcases many different productions throughout the year, check their calendar to keep up to date with everything. Crewe is located bang in the middle of some pretty big cities such as Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool, making for some epic road trips with your new student friends on the weekends! As far as Crewe’s student accommodation goes, it is fairly cheap with rooms starting as low as £50 per week in a student house. For a bit more privacy, flats are an ideal option, with plenty being available throughout this lovely little town.
